Fancy a Challenge?

If you think you can handle it...

Gap Chile is looking for young energetic people who want to help this small community. We're looking for students who want to learn Spanish the hardest way possible... by throwing yourself in the country itself. If you think you have special talents you can share, you're the student we need. Whether you know how to play an instrument, read music or just want to help young children learn English, you're more than likely the person we're looking for.

Not sure if volunteering is for you?

Making the right choice...

This year our volunteers have had a huge impact on the learning of the children in La Calera's nursery school. Not only do they help improve the English taught to them in schools but they make it fun too. Many of Chile's nursery schools abide by strict regulations that mean they have to sit at desks learning maths and grammar at a very young age. Gap Chile believes that the best way to learn and teach anything is by making it fun and this nursery school is one of the leading schools to implement learning through play. Our volunteers use their own experience within English nursery schools to help make classes exciting (remember getting messy with paint when you were little too?).

Volunteers have a huge positive impact on local communities but also learn a lot about themselves too. They help to build up a community and get involved with a culture rather than just observing it. They push their own limits and step outside their box to experience once in a life time challenges and build their own special memories. Whether you decide to get involved with Gap Chile or not, we still think volunteer work with any project in any place of the world is one of the most exciting things you could ever do, and we wanted to provide an opportunity for any young student to do so.
